INDIAN HEAD – WHY IT’S ONE OF OUR FAVORITE TRAILS

Indian Head is definitely THE place to visit during the Adirondacks fall foliage!

Indian Head is part of the Adirondack Mountain Reserve located near Keene, New York. The trail is remarkable due to it’s difficulty level (super easy!) and scenic views along the path. You are truly immersed in nature with nothing but the sounds of birds chirping in the distance and rushing water from the nearby waterfalls. The trail only intensifies about 15 minutes before reaching the summit. You will be ascending at an almost 90 degree angle, so be ready to power through this little section! Once you reach the summit, your mind will be blown! The trail ascends slowly so you forget how high you actually are until you emerge from the trees and you’re hit with a view that will take your breath away!

Reasons for making it to our list of favorite trails: EASY ascend, scenic trail, no cellular service, waterfalls, and SPECTACULAR landscape views!
