MT. PINACLE

TOP 5 REASONS TO HIKE MT. PINACLE

Mount Pinacle (2 hours from Montreal), located in Coaticook, Quebec, is a mountain overlooking Lake Lyster which is home to a relatively short, but rewarding hike. Here are 5 reasons why you should hike Mount Pinacle:

1 – Dogs, dogs, and MORE DOGS! Mount Pinacle is pet friendly, which is awesome because who doesn’t want to take their furry friends on awesome adventures? The relatively short hike is perfect for your canine companions as the ascent to the top can be achieved with a medium amount of exertion!

2 – Mount Pinacle is a great hike as the view-to-effort ratio is great for hikers of all ages! It’s both an easy and enjoyable hike that is fit for any fitness level! Unless you were told you were 655m (2,182 ft) at it’s highest point, you would never have been able to tell from the journey to the summit which can be achieved by most in about half an hour.

3 – The views are astounding! 665m doesn’t sound like much, but once at the summit of Mount Pinacle and you’re looking over lake Lyster, you realize fairly quickly that not all views depend on height. Mount Pinacle’s summit is great for catching that snap for the ‘gram without having to mess up your hair!

4 – The summit of Mount Pinacle is great for settling down and grabbing a bite to eat as the numerous viewpoints allow you to separate yourself from the crowds.

5 – The proximity to Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook & Foresta Lumina (25 minutes) make it easy to plan a day full of adventure, or a relaxed weekend in the Eastern Townships of Quebec.

BONUS REASON: This one is for all your Rock Climbers out there, along the Lake Lyster side of Mount Pinacle, rock climbers test their wits and can scale the rock to the summit!
