Located just 15-20-minutes east of Mirissa, Coconut Tree Hill is a beautiful hill perched into the Indian Ocean lined with sky high palm trees overlooking the Mirissa bay. Presumably one of the more well-known hotspots of Mirissa, locals and tourists alike flock to this gorgeous hill to catch a sunrise, or sunset, all while staring out into the vast ocean before it.

HIKE TO THE TOP OF DIYALUMA FALLS

Diyaluma Falls is an epic spot to visit if you’re travelling through Ella.
Diyaluma Falls is the second highest waterfall in Sri Lanka at 720ft high. It sits about an hour away and offers stunning views of the surrounding regions of Koslanda. Great for sunrise as the views of the sun rising behind the mountains make for some excellent footage!

VISIT THE FAMOUS NINE ARCH BRIDGE IN ELLA

The Nine Arch Bridge is probably the most famous of the Ella attractions. This colonial-era bridge is a tourist hotspot and made famous by Instagrammers and bloggers alike. The beautiful curves and stone structure makes for some excellent content!

Perhaps one of the least talked about viewpoints, Pidurangala Rock, the rock adjacent to the ever famous Sigiriya Rock, offers stunning views of both the valley below, and a view of Sigiriya Rock you can only get by hiking the summit of Pidurangala Rock.
