Kayak & Cabana – The Perfect Wagon Cabin

25-minutes north of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, and nestled along the Red River, lies a cozy refuge in the middle of nature where the mountains, forest and river meet.

A Victorian-inspired ‘Shepherd’s Hut’ (Le Wagon de Berger in French) was custom built in cedar, unveiling a traditional, yet cleverly designed cabin on wheels built with all comfort and equipment needed for a unique getaway. Charming and simplistic, this cabin located on the banks of the Red River, is ideally located in Labelle, Quebec.

We had the awesome pleasure of staying here for a night, and given the opportunity, we would have stayed longer. The burning fire kept us warmer than you might think within the four walls of the cabin; so warm that we had to open the windows to cool ourselves down.

The cabin is perfectly equipped to accommodate your stay as you need only bring food. Pots, pans, kitchen table, and ample counter space, made it easy for us to prepare our meals during our stay. The fireplace also acts as a stove top should you wish to boil water or cook a pizza!

The owners leave you with enough water and firewood for your stay, however, should you run short of any of your supplies, they’re a phone call or text away from being there to bring you what you need!

Kayak & Cabana also has another type of accommodation other than the Shepard’s Hut; La Cabana. A minimalistic and cozy cabin optimized to create a real sense of immersion with the environment.
