Nöge – THE PERFECT MOUNTAIN SIDE CABIN

Just 35 minutes from Quebec City is one of the most beautiful places we’ve had the pleasure of enjoying this fall season. A true getaway in every sense of the word, this gorgeous Scandinavian-style chalet sits on 1 million square feet of land and isn’t just surrounded by trees, but tall mountains as well.

Nöge, which is a derivative of the Scandinavian word Nöje, is located in Sainte-Brigitte-de-Laval, a quiet town of just over 5,000 people. But as the name suggests, Nöge is a place of joy and delight, and the land it sits on is vibrant, especially during the fall. Here, relaxation and nature don’t just meet, they mesh to form the utmost in style, serenity and relaxation.

The interior decor is a beautiful blend of contemporary whites and blacks and is complemented by sleek, clean furniture. The cabin is bigger than it seems and they’ve properly fit 3 good size bedrooms, one being upstairs which you access by a gorgeous matte black ladder. A private lake is there for your enjoyment and a few kayaks can be used to explore the surrounding area by water. Along the wooden deck at the back of the cabin is a spa that overlooks the high mountains nestled behind Nöge which is extremely intimate.

The kitchen area, which is the heart of the whole place, is designed with incredible elegance. The matte black faucet compliments a beautiful white quartz countertop, sitting on a delicate shade of sanded wood. Nöge was designed with great attention to detail which, in turn, brought out a creative side in us while we explored it. Nöge is the perfect symbiosis between high-quality, modern architecture basked in natural beauty.

If you haven’t booked Nöge yet, then let me say this: I (Anthony) am not a huge fan of driving, and anyone whos’ been following our adventures since the beginning knows that. Nöge is about 3-and-a-half hours away from Montreal, but surprisingly enough, and you can ask Jenna, I didn’t complain, nor fall asleep, a single time on the drive to this cabin. In all seriousness though, it truly is breathtaking, and the first time you walk into Nöge, you’ll get this overwhelming feeling of awe and admiration, as you marvel at every little thought and attention to detail that went into designing it.
